| Well friends, fans and fellow bands, The tour... Well it all started one balmy summer evening at Doc Willoughby's....there was an excellent turnout and a most memorable sendoff. The tallest of the dance floor junkies once again showering the less vertically gifted with pitchers of beer. Dont forget the random dude that came up early and did some sort of dinosaur call into Dean's mic for three minutes, until our amicable bass player booted him in the ass as he made his way off stage in a vigorous stumble. Absolutely a good show in our books. Early-ish the next morning we were off and running to Calgary, as we were playing two shows there that night. or were we?!? Yes. we were. | ||
| The drive went smoothly and pretty quickly, and Dan didnt even play the ukulele while behind the wheel this time. The sky was blue, the beer was golden and spirits were high as we hurtled through the mountain passes. | ![]() |

The Shows at Renfrew community center, the Mystery Hall that took us forever to find, and Verns went well. However Adam Wittke, a freelance producer that is working with MK, was the real source of entertainment for the evening. Between yelling random movie titles at strangers to throat punching friends, there's never a dull moment with Adam around. As always Clint - the one man army that runs Vern's in Calgary made us sound great, and with the amount we had been drinking i imagine that must have been a task. | ![]() |

Next we were off to Sylvan lake, where MK rocked the NorthShore Bar and Grill. Kevin and Devon, our favorite dynamic duo, got the crowed pumped (while remaining fashionable in stylish t-shirts) and played an encore with us that will go down in history! ... except no one remembers it. Kevin Bargholz: North Shore Bar-owner and always gracious host, got us almost as drunk as Dan's crew from Edmonton. and Chase, in repayment for the awesome bonfires and letting us stay in his driveway got to see Deano's wiener. Chase: Knock on doors. Dean: There's locks on doors. sort it out. |

After some heart-felt goodbyes and stomach churning hangovers we were on the road again to enjoy a few days of camping downtime. Beer staff = the greatest afternoon/night/morning ever! We even managed to find out which one of us is a window licker. Exciting. If you ever see the game Pass Out at a garage sale or something scoop that mother up! But only if you want to have a wasted good time. Mk invented a new game - Pickapault - where you jam guitar pics into a picinic table and use them to shoot rocks at each others beer castle. Super fun until Dan broke out the camping fluid and match heads and almost lit Rod's hair on fire. | ![]() |

All in all it was a great trip. As a bunch of tired Knights made their way home over the mountains and through the hills, sleepy but satisfied, we were already looking forward to the next time. Just playing tunes and hanging with friends old and new. | ![]() |
