Malibu Knights

Formed in 2008, The Malibu Knights are a four-piece adventure rock band currently situated in Kelowna, BC. With styles ranging from rock to blues and acoustic to electric, The Malibu Knights prove themselves as talented musicians and diverse songwriters.

The rhythm section of Rod Anderson, Shane Squires and Dean Irving is complemented by the immensely talented frontman, Dan Harden. Dan, hailing from small town Alberta, has traveled the world playing music in 6 different countries and 3 bands. Finally to settle down in Kelowna and build an adventure rock act that is about entertaining and involving the audience like they are part of the show. They pride themselves on showmanship and a professional sound.

During a typical show you can see Shane jump from vocals to djembe to guitar to harmonica, with a multitude of other instruments waiting to be showcased. Dean and his bass bring in the low end and round off the sound. With his high energy and habit of climbing onto any surface above knee height in a ten meter radius, he keeps the audience involved and entertained. Rod’s drumming accents and compliments their adventure rock style perfectly. With driving beats and catchy rhythms, he keeps the audience dancing.

A solid year of continuous writing, performing and recording has resulted in a rapidly-expanding cult following for The Malibu Knights, in the Okanagan and through out Western Canada.
